Here's what the humans have to say about me:
SORRY BUT WE ONLY ADOPT WITHIN THE STATE OF FLORIDA
Mr. Fox (aka Klondike) is a black and white woolly Husky with mesmerizing blue eyes. This boy’s beauty is just spectacular. Good Samaritans fostered him and he was quickly adopted. A mere six months later his new family added a new baby to the household and the family dynamics changed. Mr Fox became overly protective of the baby and the family so the family no longer wishes to keep him. He was returned to us and is again available for adoption.
Mr Fox wants to play tug and a little rough house, which is best done with another dog of similar energy level. He rests more than he plays, but all Huskies must have their exercise. An energetic dog is usually unaware of their own strength and they can easily, though accidentally, knock over a toddler just by bumping into him. We feel he’d do best in a home with older children.
He has indicated a tolerance for cats but, as always, we recommend caution when making introductions with small animals and supervision until the relationship has been determined to be a safe one. Mr Fox is docile but playful and seems to be comfortable in a home environment. He does not chew in a damaging way. Shoes and other items have been left out and he never touches them.
It is best to frequently brush wooly Huskies’ hair so it doesn’t mat. Luckily, Mr Fox enjoys being brushed, usually rolls over, and often lifts his leg submissively while lying. Also, this boy must have had some obedience training. He understands the basic commands and his foster family is working on reinforcing these good manners. He is also housebroken.
This gentle Husky has a soft bark that he uses only to let his needs known; like at the door to let his humans know he needs to go potty. He has a modest whining howl, but doesn’t use it unless he is trying to say something. He approaches all his foster friends with the same demeanor suggesting he is comfortable with men and women.
Klondike is healthy, Heartworm negative, neutered, up-to-date on his shots, and microchipped. Good-looking boys that are so well behaved make the world a better place. Make your world better, fill out an adoption application on our website, www.siberrescue.com, today.
