CHELSEY - Hound mix, female, 7 years, ~50 lbs. Chelsey is a sweet, affectionate girl who gives kisses when asked. She's a wonderful dog who has been with her family since she was a puppy. She now needs a new home due to an unfortunate situation and through no fault of her own. Chelsey loves to snuggle, play, and go for car rides. She's great around children, and patient with their unintentional rough handling or loud outbursts. She's house trained, crate trained, knows basic commands, and doesn't jump up on people to greet them. Chelsey is a sensitive dog who connects strongly to people and just loves to make new friends. She gets along with other dogs, and enjoys playing with her foster brother in the yard. Chelsey would be happiest in a home where she has people to love her and give her a daily walk, but because her legs follow her nose, she tends to pull on the leash (her foster family is working with her on that). She enjoys sniffing around a fenced in yard or on a run, but she does not do well off-leash. She is too interested in cats to live with one.
