Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello my name is Rocky. I am an 8 month old boy, my foster family refers to me as a pocket pittie because I’m on the smaller side. I’m a little goofy and loving; I’m not one to get into scuffles or be pushy with other dogs. I love to play and burn off some energy during the day and cuddle up at night. I also like to get on the porch swing for naps while I sun bath. My foster mom says someone is missing out on a great dog. She always tells me what a good boy I am, that I’m a quick learner and a snuggle bunny. I love to please so going to doggie classes to learn new things is fun and I think it would be a great way for me and my new family to bond. I am doing well with my potty training and I don’t mind my crate when the family leaves for work/school. I enjoy playing with the other dogs; my foster home has dogs between 10 lbs and 50 lbs. I’ve met cats before but really not sure what to think of them so I sniffed them and then went on my way. I like kids of all ages and I know I am not to jump on them but sometimes I get so excited to see them I forget and need to be reminded.
Adoption Process:
Once your application is received, it will be reviewed by our adoption team. We will then contact your personal and veterinary references. Once those steps are completed and approved, we will setup an initial meeting and home visit, which may sometimes happen at the same time. The adoption team will get back to you once all steps are completed to setup the final adoption, including payment of adoption fee and execution of the adoption contract.
Our adoption contract does include a 14 day trial period where the pet can be returned to the rescue and half of the adoption fee is refunded. We want to make sure that it is a great fit for your family and also for the pet!
Please fill out and download the application, located towards the bottom of the page here: www.llrescue.org/adoption
Adoption Fees:
Young Dogs (6 Months to a year of age): $250 includes Spay/Neuter, age appropriate vaccinations up to date heartworm preventative, microchip with lifetime enrollment and heartworm test.
