Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sampson, a medium sized, 7 year old Aussie Chow mix is a beautifully docile and gentle boy who is happy-go-lucky all the time. He lost his vision due to a genetic defect called SARDS (suddenly acquired retinal detachment) Sampson lost his sight and then lost his owner in the same month! Sampson needs a forever home where he can have all the simple pleasures of a dog's life. That's all he seems to need to keep his tail wagging! Walks, affection, care and petting...he is easy to please. He maps his way around new environments quickly and is completely housebroken. He is smart and listens well to voice commands. He is great with other dogs too. He will chase cats however so he must be in a cat-free home. He is fabulous with kids and toddlers but should probably be in a home with kids over 10 because of the blindness. Sampson hardly ever barks! He has a gorgeous fluffy coat and beautiful brown eyes that will look right at you when you speak to him. He loves his people friends and recognizes them by the sound of their voice! If you are interested in meeting this very special boy please contact me. Fostering would also be considered under the circumstances. The Dog Squad Rescue will take care of any costs associated with his care. Please let this guy into your heart, you won't regret it!! He would make an ideal therapy dog!
