Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Howdy is a Maine Coone mix, huge, fluffy and laid back. The kind of cat you can just plop in a room of other cats with no introduction. Very self-assured.
Howdy is a senior cat who was living outdoors all by himself. He had a human at some point since he is neutered, microchipped and declawed. Unfortunately, we have been unable to locate the people through the microchip.
Howdy has diffuse Iris Melanoma, a very noninvasive and slow-progressing cancer of the eye. Usually it takes 10 years to progress. Even then, it rarely metasthesizes, so the worst that happens is that the cat may have to have his eye removed. The eye specialist does NOT recommend removing Howdy's eye at this time. In fact, he can still see out of it. Howdy also limps as a result of his past declaw. Poor guy.
Howdy is available as a regular adoption. Please also ask about our "permanent foster" and "Senior for Senior" programs, through which we would pay Howdy's vet bills for life but he would be your cat and live with you. These programs are wonderful opportunities for people on fixed incomes to enjoy th love of a cat like Howdy.
