Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Buster, and I am a three year old pit bull terrier. I stand 24 inches at the shoulders, and weigh about 88 lbs. I am housebroken, neutered, up to date on shots, and healthy and I am looking for a new family with no pets or children. I currently live with my foster family and love them but they have many dogs so can’t keep me. I currently live with three children aged 4, 10, and 12 and I love them but I am so strong and play so boisterously that I could probably hurt a small child without meaning to. My foster family have leash and crate trained me, and are socializing me and teaching me to be gentler. I am still pretty rowdy and play rough, so need to keep learning good play manners. My favourite things are playing fetch or tug of war, going for car rides, outings to the park or store, and visiting friends. I am very friendly and greet people and other dogs submissively but if a dog tries to be mean to me, I respond in kind. I have strong people drive and want to be with my family all the time. I am never chew or destroy anything, even when left at home alone during the day. My foster mom tells me that I am a real gentleman indoors and even though I love to get up on the couch or in bed with my people, I get down when I am told. Even though I am active and love everyone, I get nervous in loud, overwhelming environments and prefer a calmer, quieter environment without a lot of people. I would love a home where I am the only pet, with no children, and with a strong, dominant owner who will continue socializing me, can handle my size, and will ensure that I am exercised regularly. In the right home, I will be your best friend, loyal to the end, and the greatest dog you will ever know. Are you my family? If so, please contact Louise Vande Wiele at 615 500 3164.
