Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi!
My name is Maeve and I'd like to tell you a bit about myself and some of my favorite things. I am about 6 years old (as if 2015), approximately 25 pounds, fully housebroken, UTD on vaccines, current on HW and flea preventative, leash and crate trained (even though I can be trusted in the house when my foster family is out) and probably the calmest dog you could ever hope to meet. Sometimes I get shy meeting new people, but I always warm up to them.
I love being someone's companion, but I'm not needy. If I have a comfy dog bed and a rawhide I am a happy gal. In fact, I heard my foster-mom say that I was the best dog they have EVER fostered (I think they've had 15 dogs before me, so that's saying something). I don't have accidents in the house, I don't chew or bark and I don't fight with my foster dog or chase their cat. I don't even jump onto the sofa, unless I am invited.
While I love hiking and going on walks in the neighborhood I also love napping, watching tv with my foster parents and sleeping in on the weekends.
I would rather have your attention than to play dog games. I am typically very calm as I am perfectly content to lay around and sleep most of the day. I am also a good little watch dog as I will warn of any strangers coming to the house.
If you can give me the home I am looking for please complete a nonbinding adoption application found under the Forms tab of our website www.savinggraceanimalrescue.com. Once it is received and processed, a SGAR representative will contact you shortly!

Information on Transporting up North:
Our animals reside in caring foster homes in Central Alabama but can be adopted in or out of state. There are unfortunately no spay and neuter laws thus there is a severe over population of dogs and cats which results in high euthanasia rates. Transporting animals up to the North where there are spay and neuter allows, allows us to save more lives. Transports leave on Fridays and arrive on Saturdays. Animals come with a health certification signed by a vet and animals are dropped off at the designated state approved rescue transport stops.
