My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Max!
I was found wandering around at a state park all by myself. Several people tried to find my owner but no one claimed me so now I’m looking for a new home. I am UTD on vaccines, neutered, and on heartworm and flea preventative. As of April 2014, I am estimated to be approximately nine or ten months old and weigh about 26 pounds. I am an active guy that will need a fenced in backyard. I do like to play with other dogs but can be a little persnickety as I do not like it when dogs get in my face. Thus, I would do well as an only dog in the house. I love people and like to lean on your legs and give you hugs. I will need a family that can enforce rules. I am good in the crate if you are nearby otherwise, I can be quite vocal. I do like to spend a lot of my time outside so I would prefer to go to a home with a fence so I can spend time outside when my new parents are gone during the day. If you can give me the home I’m looking for please complete a nonbinding adoption application found under the Forms tab of our website www.savinggraceanimalrescue.com. Once it is received and processed, a SGAR representative will contact you shortly!

Max resides in Central Alabama but can easily be transported up North with a health certificate.
Adoption Fee In-State: $100.00
Adoption Fee Out-of-State: $250.00 (includes the additional costs of transportation and health certificate)

Information on Transporting up North:
Our animals reside in caring foster homes in Central Alabama but can be adopted in or out of state. There are unfortunately no spay and neuter laws thus there is a severe over population of dogs and cats which results in high euthanasia rates. Transporting animals up to the North where there are spay and neuter allows, allows us to save more lives. Transports leave on Fridays and arrive on Saturdays. Animals come with a health certification signed by a vet and animals are dropped off at the designated state approved rescue transport stops.
