My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. We are closed to the public on weekdays. We're an all-volunteer group and need advance notice to schedule appointments, therefore weekday appointments are available to schedule for adoption applicants only.
To adopt, please submit an adoption application (see the link below). Some animals may be in foster homes. For information on a specific animal, please visit our adoption center or email us at humaneswa@yahoo.com!

This beautiful lady is Ruby, a flame-point Siamese female adult. She just turned 3 years old (as of May 2014). Ruby was adopted as a kitten, but her owner is no longer to continue Ruby's excellent care and decided Ruby should find a new home. Ruby is a typical Siamese - quiet and mellow, closely bonds with one person, and is a little sensitive to her environment. Ruby will need a calm home without much change to help her feel safe and comfortable. She can do well with very gentle kids, but may not do well around a dog of any size. She'd be wonderful as an only pet, but she is used to other cats and could adjust to another as a sibling. Visit our cat adoption center during open hours or contact us to meet Ruby!

Negative for FIV and FeLK, current on vaccinations and spayed.

Our flat adoption fee is $75, a fee to help defray a fraction of veterinary costs and general care expenses. Our adoptable animals have routine vet visits, and are as healthy as possible as soon as they are in our care. Vet records are provided to adopters.
