My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Izzy is a 3 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback mixed with Pit Bull. She has the long legs and floppy ears of a Rhodesian combined with a super sweet pittie face.

Izzy absolutely adores her people but does not love strangers. She has lived in a home with several children and bestows all her love on them. The family recently had another baby though, and can no longer provide Izzy with the care she needs. Even though this fun girl loves the level of activity that kids bring to a home, we prefer her new forever home not have any children.

Izzy walks great on the leash, loves to cuddle on the couch and is playful with other dogs, both big and small. She used to to like to chase the cat she shared her foster home with so it would be best for her new home not to have any feline friends.

Izzy loves the bath, and gets a real kick out of running water from the hose. If you've got a pool then you'll truly be her best friend!

We would love to see Izzy go to a home with people who have an active lifestyle but with the added benefit of a low-key, quiet home. Other dogs in the home are great, but too many people who pass through the front door would not be.
