Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My friends with Hanover Humane will be placing me in a home in the Richmond, Virginia metropolitan area (counties bordering on Hanover Humane's facility in Ashland, Virginia).
Salutations!! I’m Scamp and I am soooo happy to meet you. I’m a Lab / Australian Shepherd mix born in April of 2013. I ended up at Hanover Humane Society when they transferred me from Richmond Animal Care and Control after being picked up as a stray. So far I’ve liked every human and dog I’ve met here at HHS. I haven’t met any cats yet. Most likely I have been in a home before, because I know how to “sit”, “shake” and “lie down.” Because I’m an energetic, young guy, I would do best in a home with room to run, or with an active family that could keep me busy. The fee to adopt me is $150, I come neutered, up to date on all of my vaccinations (DHLPP, Bordetella and Rabies), on heartworm preventative, microchipped, and with a month of free pet health insurance. I would love to have a home in the Hanover county, or the counties bordering Hanover. Come meet me on Saturday mornings, between 9 AM and 12 Noon or call the kennel to see me on weekdays. You can find me at the HHS kennels on Route 1 in Ashland. That's 12190 Washington Hwy, just north of Minor’s Fences.
