Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Update 5/1/14: Introducing Greta!
Hi there! I'm Greta, an adorable, little 5 month old Shepherd mix. I loooove to play with toys (squeakies are my favorite) and who doesn't love a good stick to chew on? I'm also a snuggle bug and I just love to give kisses!! I really like to play with other dogs so I would be happy in a home with or without other canine friends. Doesn't matter to me! It ain't hard to make me happy! If you think you and I would be a good match, fill out the adoption application. I'll be waiting!
Interested in meeting and possibly adopting this puppy? Fill-out an online adoption application via www.sadiemaefoundation.org. $350 adoption donation, reference check and home visit are required prior to adoption. Once the puppy is of an age where s/he can be spayed/neutered, adopters will be refunded $50 when proof of spay/neuter is provided to the rescue.
While in the care of the Sadie Mae Foundation, this puppy has been given age-appropriate vaccines, been spayed and dewormed. Other medical treatments may be provided to puppies, depending upon their specific needs.
In addition, this animal has been microchipped for identification purposes through HomeAgain's® Chip FurKeeps program. Adopters are required to pay the additional one-time,$10.99 microchip registration fee (which lasts the lifetime of the animal) upon adoption.
Info. about Sadie Mae Foundation's adoption process
Please note that we do not ship animals or do same-day adoptions. Additionally, we ordinarily limit adoptions to homes within CT or no more than an hour or so drive from Hartford, CT in order to be able to conduct a home visit and provide follow-up assistance when necessary. Exceptions are considered on a case-by-case basis.
We try to make our adoption process as easy and painless as possible, but please understand where we are coming from and all of the work that goes into rescuing and rehoming homeless animals. We don't want them to go through this again. Visit www.sadiemaefoundation.org to learn about the adoption process in detail.
If you are not in a position to adopt a pet that tugs at your heart strings, consider sponsoring its care. Visit www.sadiemaefoundation.org for details on how you can help.
