Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Talia, a beautiful Blonde Carolina Dog mix with exotic looking brown eyes. I am a two year old, medium sized girl with thick, soft whitish blonde fur, a white stripe on my face, and dainty white toes. I am sturdy, healthy, and well-built and can run like the wind. I get along with dogs but have never met a cat. People are my favourite - young and old, but I should be around older children, not little ones. I’m an active girl, and playing is an all-time best thing to do, but at the end of the day, I love to relax with my family. I live in kennels but long to live in a house as a full-time family member.
My foster mom tells me that I am very smart and can figure out even the most complicated ways to liberate our chickens (I enjoy chasing them so best not have them if I am adopted). I love to please, am very alert, gentle, and getting petted is one of my favourite things. I am a not a barker and don't usually jump up on people even when I am very pleased to see them.
I am looking for an active family, whether it’s a single person or a family with older children, as long as they would spoil me, give me my own bed, and make me part of their lives forever. I promise to be loyal and loving, and to make you laugh with my antics. My adoption fee is $75, and I spayed, up to date on shots, and very healthy.
For more information on Talia, please contact Louise Vande Wiele at louisevdew@gmail.com and we will respond as quickly as possible. Meanwhile, get to know our process by reading the following.
Anyone wanting to adopt a dog from the RARFS is expected to fill out an adoption application, provide references, sign an adoption contract, agree to a home visit, and finally to pay an adoption fee. Once the application is received, references checked, and a home visit completed, and everything is satisfactory, families can take their new family member home. Should a dog adopted from RARFS need to be rehomed, we ask that the dog be returned to us, or that we approve the new home. We have a no questions asked return policy, but fees will not be reimbursed.
Families who rent must provide a letter from their landlord stating that they are allowed to have a dog listing any size or breed restriction.
We prefer that families come and pick up their new family member, but a licensed pet transport is available. Should we need to transport dogs to their new homes, the adopter will need to pay $150 per dog, to the transport company.
