Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sweet and savvy is what describes me best, but my real name is Candela. I ended up at the Puerto Vallarta pound in pretty bad shape..you see, I had not had much food for quite a while and I was very lonely. My luck changed pretty fast though and I'm now a healthy weight and ready to roll into my forever home!
I want you to know that I am very friendly and not at all shy of new people. I think people are all awesome and dogs too! I haven't met a "cat" yet so I'm not sure about those.
My perfect day would be filled with a few treats, a good brisk walk and a soft bed to call my own. The vets think I am about 4 years old but I am full of spunk so my foster mom thinks I am younger.
According to her foster mom, Candela has captured a few hearts trying to go home with friendly people at the dog park. (She goes to their cars but runs back to mom rather than getting in) She prefers a warmer home and will curl up in foster mom's arm pit when it's cold. She has been wearing a T-shirt on chilly days without objection. She knows how to sit and catch food thrown to her. (She is teaching her foster brother the latter) Extremely agile, she can take sharp corners like no other dog! She loves rawhide chews and bones. She's still working on her confidence but shows to be a fast and eager learner.
