Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Cammie, I was lost and sick when they brought me to the shelter. There I stayed for 5 long days in the stray ward, waiting for my previous family to come take me home. I was dirty, matted and my skin itched so bad my hair was falling off in patches. I had scabs and sores all over. I was in misery and prayed every day for some relief. When my 5 days were up, it was determined that I wouldn’t have a chance at getting adopted. My condition would only get worse without medical treatment and time...and time is one thing that had run out. When I learned of my fate that day, I could not hold back the tears. My heart broken; the tears stung as they ran down my face onto my open sores. I felt hollow, I prayed to God to end my misery; I was ready to be at peace. My kennel door opened and I was taken out and brought into a room. To my surprise, in front of me was a smiling face, reaching out for me. She held me tight and whispered, “You’re going to be okay, and you’re safe now”. Safe, was not something I understood back then, but I do now. I love my foster family and I thank them for accepting me just for what I am and for the way I was back then. You have healed my soul, mended my wounds, and taught me what it means to be SAFE. I have learned so much about myself. I am a mellow girl who likes squeaky toys and playing fetch. I like to dress up and be held. I am 2 years old and only weigh 12 pounds. Most of all I love to snuggle and give kisses. I am ready for a family to call my own.
