My fur may be black but my heart is gold. Bad luck myths should never have been told!

My name is Dorsey and I’m about as purrfect as a cat can get! As you can see, I’m a remarkably handsome DSH male with a glossy black fur-suit. I’m also a very big boy – my foster mom thinks I weigh at least 15+ pounds. I’m about a year old, neutered, wormed, treated for fleas/ticks, and current on vaccinations. I get along with everyone and everything - other cats, dogs, and kids. I adore attention, insist on helping with whatever you're doing, and have never met a stranger or lap I didn't like! I’m extremely outgoing, curious, affectionate, and intelligent. My foster mom has been teaching me to sit and even though I already know how, I fake it so I can get treats – now tell me who’s smarter! I would do fantastic in a home with human children – they play with lots of neat stuff and I like playing, too. I’m also content to curl up in your lap – or if I get too heavy, lay beside you while you read, watch TV, or work on the computer and I’m a wonderful bed partner. Please don’t overlook me just because I’m black – I have so much love to give and I’m sweeter than a box of chocolates but better for you! I’ll add fun to your home, love to your life, and light to your world if you’ll give me the forever home I so deserve!
