Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Homer, the little boy with a horrible beginning. Homer will be considered special needs for a while. His early months have him what shall we say, Life handicapped...being born mixed and sold out of a puppy mill store that gets most of their dogs from auctions, Homer was adopted by a single mom with a mentally disturbed son who would try and hurt him badly, thus Homer wasa tucked away in a crate away from her son for a few months until she surrendered him. Homer does not know basics of puppyhood because all he knew was fear and harm. Homer has been adjusting to daylight, love and attention, learning leash which he uses a Halti, he is working on outside potty which will take time. He's met a few cats and found that if he's pursistant enough it will warrent a cat scratch and bitten ears so he side steps unless the kitty runs, then he will look at you and before you say no...The chase is on so in many ways his little boy comes out. He is learning to take food nice by hand but gets excited and sometimes grabs too fast, but this too is coming along. He likes to play with toys and working his roll of how to play with other dogs well and not bull them. He is a wonderful guy who thrives in strict positive reinforcement. WE WILL NOT place him in a home with children under 15yrs old due his past. We prefer a home with no children and a fenced in yard, but other homes will be considered. Homer will need a family who understand he needs training and attend puppy classes and a strict loving enviroment with knowledgable in a neglected and battered fur babies. He will heal in the right home and be a wonderful companion to those who will guide him from his horrible past and further into the light or a promised future.
