Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
URGENT! PLEASE HELP! Russell came from a southern shelter on 2/9/08. His owner is wanted by the authorities for animal cruelty. When the home was visited by Georgia authorities, dead dogs were found buried in the backyard and Russell was left in the basement. The other dogs reported on the property were gone. Russell is pretty thin, but mostly, he is sad. He doesn't have much heart left and he seems to think we plan to bring him harm. He has scars everywhere. Clearly, he has been fought and he wasn't very good at it. His story seems a little more clear now, he was left to starve because he wasn't enough of a monster to live in the world he was in. Well, he's here now! Connie made him rice and chicken. I made more chicken. Barb is making more chicken. Russell will grow fatter (and probably grow feathers) in a week or so. I hope his heart heals - I think it will. He has the flash, the spark I have seen in abused dogs that says they haven't given up although they are tired and not especially hopeful. We have one sponsor, but can use more. We received about $400 in funding and we used most of it to get him to Connecticut. We need more sponsorship to keep him going. Homes for bully breed dogs are hard to find and when they are scrawny and scared, it will be even harder. But this dog is a survivor, I see it in him. If you think you can help, send anything to F.O.B.A.S., P.O. BOX 5131, BRIDGEPORT, CT. 06610. Even if it is $10.00 that could help with the food he needs. Ralph Arganese, a canine trainer and behavioralist from Talkin Dog is going to be donating his time to help Russell work his sadness and train him to be a great pet. We will post video and pictures to detail out his progress. FOBAS is a non profit - we all volunteer our time and spend alot of our own money. All the donations we recieve go towards the animals. We just got caught a little short.
