Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Seal is a very sweet submissive young man. His approximate birthday is January 2007 & he is the runt of his litter so he is smaller than a regular Lab. He has already been neutered, is on monthly heart worm, flea & tick medication, and is in perfect health. He walks very well on a leash but is still learning the commands for heal and halt, although he doesn't pull on the leash when walking. If he sees a squirrel or a cat running he will try to chase it, so he may not be suitable to homes with outdoor cats. We do have indoor only cats at his foster home, and as long as the cat lets him know they won't put up with any funny business, he ignores them. Seal is really a very sweet boy & loves to have his belly rubbed. He loves to chase the ball around the back yard & will continue to bring it back to you as long as you give him lots of praise & belly rubs when he brings you the ball. Because Seal is so submissive he would not be suitable to a family who already has a dog that is more of a "bully" than an alpha. Seal gets along fine with all his foster roommates, and could be adopted into a home that already has an "alpha" dog, so long as the alpha is not a bully because Seal will just tuck his tail & hide. The reason it is so important he not be paired with a dog with any aggressive traits is Seal will not fight back & could easily be seriously injured.
The adoption donation is $170.00 which includes his neuter, current shots & microchip.
If you would like more information on Seal please email kai@fairfieldanimalrescue.com or phone & leave a message 803-635-4252.
