Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ivy is a happy, joyful, very large, one year old German Shepherd/Great Dane mix. We are not certain about the GD only a guess based on her appearance. She is very friendly with strangers, & playful. She was adopted at five months old and returned to us on her birthday. The adopters said they did not have time for her any more. It is evident they have not spent much time with her, because she does not know commands or words unless she learned them here before she went to her new home. But she is very smart and is learning quickly and enjoying interacting with us as we teach her. Even though she is a year old, she still has a lot of puppy in her. Because of her breed, she may continue to grow until she is 18 months. She is now 68 lbs. So if you like large breeds, this is the dog for you. Ivy likes other dogs but can be rather rough when she plays due to her size. She has trouble holding both ears erect so looks a little goofy with one ear up and one at half mast. Her medical records are up to date and she has been given Triflexis for flea and heartworm protection. She has been spayed. She loves children but because of her size they would need to be older. At her former home she had a nine year old boy who dearly loved her. She is housebroken and crate trained. A large sturdily fenced yard, is necessary for her wellbeing, so she has plenty room to run full speed and play. If you think you are the right family for Ivy, email us and request a SAR questionnaire. Complete the questionnaire and return to us and we will check your references and then set a time for you to meet Ivy. We will be extra careful placing her, since she has been heartbroken at leaving a family once.
