Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Dutchess, a beautiful chocolate lab, was found as a stray in central Minnesota and not claimed by her family. She is a very sweet older gal - we believe she is somewhere between 10 and 12 years old, but she has lots of spirit and she loves to fetch the ball. Dutchess is in generally good health, with the typical lumps and bumps that come from a life well lived. It is possible that she has very minor laryngeal paralysis that contributes to louder than normal panting when she is anxious or exercised. She has slight arthritis in a front elbow, but it does not slow her down and joint supplements have made marked improvement. Dutchess does extremely well with other dogs and is very respectful. She also loves cats! She is very people-oriented and loves women and men equally. Because of her size (roughly 74 pounds), she should be monitored around toddlers to make sure she does not accidentally knock a little one over, but she is very good with children and seems to have lived with them at some point. Dutchess walks well on leash, is fully crate and house trained and has not barked since she’s been in rescue - she’s quiet as a mouse unless she is moaning in pleasure from a belly rub or head scratch.
