Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rosie is a 2 year old black and tan smooth female dachshund who was found as a stray loose on a remote county road. She remained at animal control, but no one came to claim her.
Rosie has hair missing from her tail and rear legs that was caused by severe flea allergy and possibly other allergies. She has been treated, and is receiving a high quality fish-based premium dog food along with supplements to improve her coat. Depending on her skin condition and how it continues to improve, we hope she can be spayed by the end of February. She will then have to stay 30 days after that to make sure there are no further skin breakouts. We estimate she will be ready for a new home around mid-April.
Rosie is sweet and friendly; and gets along well with other small dogs. She is thriving with loving foster care and seems delighted with the small things--good food, love and cozy beds to sleep in. We will get picture of her up on the site shortly.
