My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kal came into rescue a scared, neglected and abused dog. He lived almost his whole life stuck in a crate with no social interaction from people. His owners no longer wanted him because he was no longer a cute puppy so in the crate he went.

Once he opens up to you and knows you are not there to hurt him, he is a wonderful loving companion that is eager to earn your love. He is great with smaller dogs that are not aggressive or dominant, but larger dogs he does not like too well. HE is also great with cats.

He does not like children because they were the teasers in his past family and men he is scared of. He opens up to women faster, but will open up to men as well it just takes a little while longer.

Kal will need an experienced handler and someone to show him that life in a home can be a great experience full of love. Since he is not quite a year old yet he will need to be watched because sometimes he will chew if he doesn't have toys or bones around. But Kal is housebroken, crate trained, knows how to use a doggie door and loves it, learning manners and to play fetch. He knows just a couple of the basic commands but is learning new commands weekly.

Kal really is a great dog and will be a fantastic faithful companion if given the opportunity.
