My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dalton! Dalton is an energetic pup who was nearly returned to the SPCA after just a few days with his owner, prior to our rescue stepping in. Dalton loves playing ball and tug and would probably do best in a home with an active owner who can help burn off some of his puppy energy! Dalton is up to date on his vaccines, neutered and micro-chipped. Could you be the family he's looking for?

Additional adoption info

We believe our dogs deserve the best homes, so all prospective adopters must have good references and agree to a home visit. All our dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and spayed or neutered. An adoption fee is charged to help defray veterinarian and other expenses. We have promised our babies that they will never have to worry again, so adopters will sign a contract agreeing to take good care of the animal, and if an adoption doesn't work out for any reason, the animal MUST be returned to Barkie's Legacy.

More about this rescue

We've rescued stray dogs or those in high-kill shelters whose time is up and adopt them out to loving homes. We are amazed at the amount of dogs that are unwanted, unloved or abused, so we're trying to make a difference one dog at a time!
