Here's what the humans have to say about me:
COCO IS BEING LOVINGLY FOSTERED IN A PRIVATE HOME IN MOUNT CRAWFORD, VIRGINIA
Here is little Miss Coco. This sweet girl is only about 5 years old – but she has had a very hard start in her life. She was turned in to a shelter and a kindly volunteer pulled her out to take her to the vet because she was in bad shape. Within a day or so she met up with an NBGR foster mom who picked her up just before Christmas. Coco was very malnourished – so painfully thin – and showing signs of a long history of malnutrition – AND she had horrible bladder stones. Luckily her foster mom was able to get her surgery right away – and this girl has been on the road to recovery for just over two months.
Coco was 8 lbs. when she came to rescue and painfully thin — but she is now a healthy 10 lbs. Because she had stones she was initially somewhat incontinent – but now has improved greatly and is clean most days – happy to go and do her business outside and come right back in. She likes to accompany you wherever you go – enjoys riding in the car – and is becoming more outgoing and social with each day that passes. Coco has a tiny bark and joins the chorus at her foster mom's house when it is time for a treat. She does enjoy canine company.
Coco is looking for a forever home now. Someone with patience and lots of time to spend with this girl – she deserves the attention and will give back as much love as she gets. She is incredibly sweet and blossoming more each day.
Coco is spayed, microchipped and heart worm negative and on preventative. She is up to date on vaccines.
Coco is being fostered in Mt. Crawford, VA.
If you are interested in adopting this little girl who will reward you with love, please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact Vicki at vboneill@optonline.net.
Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
