Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We are proud to introduce Copper! A very fun loving pup born 10-11-13 and weighing about 25 pounds. Copper was an owner surrender from Southern Illinois because the family who bought him decided they really didn't want a puppy any longer. Their loss!!!! Copper is one of the sweetest, most loyal, best we have met in a very long time. He is full of energy and loves everyone he meets. We think he may be mixed auth Australian Shepherd, but not sure what else.
Copper gets along beautifully with other dogs, cats and fantastic witg children. He would be wonderful in a busy home with dogs, cats and children, going to baseball and or soccer games.. He is an active guy who wants to please you and be loved.
He is extremely loyal and he is very sly...again wanting to be by your side all the time. He accidentally slipped out the front door without the foster noticing, and when they turned around, there he was sitting right behind them waiting to go on a journey with them. Copper would make a fabulous walking or running partner, a great agility candidate, and certainly a wonderful family addition. He is very agile and can jump an indoor gate. He would fabulously with agility if you ever wanted to do that sport.
Copper has incredibly silky soft, beautiful, shiny fur that you will love cuddling with. Oh and he is quite the cuddler, full of smiles, hugs and kisses. He doesn't like being crated so a new owner will need to crate train him if they choose to go that route as the current fosters are not crating him and that will take time. So if you are gone all day working, this is not the right dog for you unless you are prepared to take a few weeks off to work on crate training which is about how long it takes to do it properly.
The foster home in Mt. Greenwood/Chicago is where you would go to meet this puppy with an approved application. You can find the canine adoption application at our website at angelsonwheels.org which is required prior to scheduling a meet and greet.
The adoption fee of $300.00 includes: The neutering which is done, microchipped, fecal tested negative,, up-to-date on routine vaccination for distemper-adenovirus-parainfluenze-parvo, rabies vaccined, dewormed with panacur, treated with either revolution.
You will also receive a free office visit to either Crest Hill Cat and Dog Clinic, Yorkville Animal Hospital, Midwest Animal Hospital in Orland Park, Woodridge Animal Hospital, Springbrook Animal Care, Elmhurst Animal Hospital or Naperville Animal Hospital, and also a coupon booklet for Petco.
Thank you for looking at our rescued animals!
