Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Heidi. She is a seven and a half year old Border Collie. Her weight is 38 pounds and has been in great health all her life. All vaccinations are current, she is spayed and has been seen by Dr Jull at Etowah Veterinarian Hospital all her life. She loves to play and go for long walks and likes to be outside, especially playing ball with the kids. She has always had an electric fence to contain her in our yard.
Sadly, our situation changed last year when we moved and our property size decreased significantly. There is not enough room for her to run outside and release her Border Collie energy...and she has been contained within the house more frequently. As a result, she has gotten more protective and appears stressed.
We also got a new Boston Terrier last June and the new puppy has become the Alpha dog between the two....this has not helped her adapt to the new home.
Heidi's dynamics have changed within the past year and we believe this is why she has become more aggressive towards others and protective with us.
We would love for her to be able to have a home with more space to run and relieve her energy. She is a very protective dog and would be a great asset to a farm. She has been such a beloved family member, and its very hard for us to make this decision, but ultimately, we want what is best for Heidi, and to see her happy and have a purpose in life as all dogs need, especially those in the herding group who respond so well to having a "job" She would make an excellent hiking buddy, agility training or even a hang out buddy with someone who has more time to devote to her one on one.....
If you are interested in Heidi please call me so that we can set up a time for a playdate.
