Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rescue Transfer - Camp Jean
Marti is a 6-8 week old (as of 3/16/14) female terrier mix pup. She has a fair amount of scruffy wiry hair here and there. She weighs about 5 lbs right now, will likely be a medium size dog as an adult.
She and her brother Rust are the “True Detective” puppies! Marti is more of an independent girl, Rust likes to lay in foster mom's lap when he can. Both are learning to go potty outside and doing a great job. Though they are too young to be spayed/neutered right now, when adopted they will require a spay/neuter contract, to ensure spay/neuter at the appropriate age. We do NOT allow adopted pets to remain intact!
We are taking applications for Rust and Marti now, and only OUTSTANDING pet parents need apply. If you have a fenced yard, that is optimal. Also, since they're so young, someone needs to be at home with them much of the day. Please be aware that Rust and Marti have very sharp baby teeth, and they're exploring how to use them :-) They may not be appropriate pets for a family with very young children.
Please email Lisa at lisa_schorr@windstream.net if you might be interested. Visiting the pups is allowed ONLY once an application has been submitted and reviewed.
Marti's minimum adoption donation is $150 to defray the cost of her veterinary care.
Thank you for considering a rescue pup, they're the best kind!
