My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jubilee is pure love. She is truly the most well-mannered dog that her foster family has had the pleasure of meeting. Jubi is calm yet playful; independent, yet snugly. She loves to settle close during her foster mom's laptop time, but is perfectly content to spend quiet time alone, just lounging on the dog bed (or …shhhh ….the couch!) She greets all dogs with a playful wag, and doesn’t get miffed when her jealous foster brother demands all the human attention.

Being that Jubi is an older gal of about 12 years of age, she does not hear so great. Her foster family is learning how she is most comfortable communicating. She seems to respond to a loud clap or a visual. For instance, when her foster mom does a double tap on her legs, Jubi trots right over. She walks nicely on the leash, and keeps up with her Beagle friend when he decides it’s time to run.

Jubi loves her treats, and they range from chicken bits to carrots to milkbones. She knows “sit” and “paw” and likes to linger in the kitchen when we cook. She has some arthritis in her hind quarters, but has no problems with mobility.

Jubi is houstrained, and currently has free reign of the house with no crate, and no problems. She is an ideal companion and a perfect house guest, and would thrive in a forever home with other companion dogs.

Jubilee is up-to-date on all shots, spayed and microchipped. She is in a foster home in Ossinging, NY. Application, contract and adoption fee required. To meet Jubi, please fill out an application at www.reefuge.org/application
