My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Summer is shy initially but soon warms up to show her friendly self. She's a golden Lab mix about 11-12 months old. She loves to play, walk, go for rides in the car, hike and go to the beach and would be good for an active family with older children. She also likes jogging. She is not comfortable around younger children and we do not recommend her for kids under 10 years old.

Summer's current foster family has a 9 yr old girl who has been teaching Summer tricks and who takes her for walks. She also brushes and plays with her in the yard. Summer had a long haul of getting well after being at the San Bernardino City shelter. She had come in to the shelter with another dog and was quite lonely when her friend was adopted and she was left there alone. She would be fine as an only dog but would also do well with another friendly playful dog in the home provided both get along well on meeting.

Summer was rescued July 15, 2013 and is finally ready to move on to her forever home. She is currently in a foster home near Redwood City, CA

Summer's adoption fee is $200.00 which in part covers her vetting and expense in getting her healthy again.
