This sweet girl has a sad story; as most rescues do. But we are sure you are going to make sure her story has a happy ending. Martha's previous owner discovered that she was gun shy so she couldn't hunt and he was just going to shoot her. But because she was pregnant he felt too guilty to do it. Thankfully we found out about her and she is now safe in rescue and her babies are safe too. This girl is very sweet and unusually quiet for a coon hound. She needs a home without cats because apparently they look a little too much like racoons to her.
This dog is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $375 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368.
If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between noon and 2pm. An additional $75 fee will be added for puppies picked up from our Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. MA residents are no longer allowed to adopt from our adoption center or our adoption events due to MA regs. All MA adoptions must be finalized prior to the puppy leaving our care in TN.
