Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bones in SC
Bones is 18 months old and 35 pounds! Mini Dutch :-) a very sweet, affectionate, submissive dog that loves everyone. He almost didn't make it through a brown recluse bite as a young puppy (his owners even dug a hole and placed him in it at one point thinking he was as good as dead)and was still left tied to a tree to live his life! But he's healthy now except for some scar tissue on the left side of his neck that makes his left ear stick out the the side instead of straight up like his right ear. He's been exceptionally well behaved for a foster dog, much less one that spent the first eight months of his life chained in a yard until he came into rescue. In two weeks he's learned how to live in a house (100% house trained and crate trained), follow basic commands (sit, down, come), and deal with cats. He's a perfect gentleman for nail trims and baths, and is working on leash walking and not getting too excited when playing fetch. He's currently missing some fur on his tail (probably from chewing at fleas), but it should grow back to match the rest of him (he's a blue plush coat). Bones has a low to moderate energy level, but is becoming more active as he gains confidence in his surroundings and is better nourished. Bones is apprehensive around new dogs and people, but friendly once he's around someone for a couple minutes. He was great with the neighbor's children (5 and 7) and I think he would be good around children that are used to dogs. Bones is a very quiet dog and ignores the cats unless they approach him, and he will either play or move out of the way depending on what the cat wants. He'll run around the yard happy as can be, but isn't too excited about taking walks or using a regular leash yet (he's fine with the flexi). He's hard to photograph because every time I get the camera out he wants to crawl into my lap to cuddle!
Bones is altered, current on vaccines, heartworm negative, free of internal and external parasites, and micro-chipped. He is located in SC but NADSR does adopt out nationally.
