Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I am an 8-month-old neutered male Boxer/Pit bull mix. I weigh about 30 pounds, but I'm young so I still have some growing and filling out to do. I'm everything you would expect from a Boxer...playful, energetic, affectionate, loving, and totally sweet! I get along great with other dogs and I love all my human companions, too! I dare you to try and find a happier dog than me. I guarantee you they don't exist! My tail is always wagging and I ALWAYS have a smile on my face. You can't possibly have a bad day when I'm around. I think my favorite thing in the world is belly rubs, wait, let me think about that...yeah, it's belly rubs! Treats, balls, tug-toys, bones, running, jumping and definitely rolling around on the ground are second in line! I was roaming the streets in South Central LA when I was picked up and brought to a local high-kill shelter. I appeared to be healthy...just a little on the thin side. So, the staff put me up for adoption. I quickly became a volunteer favorite! No surprise there! Luckily, one of the volunteers at the shelter works with a rescue group in the area and she asked them if they would be willing to take me in. Actually, I heard that she begged them to take me because she loves me that much! I guess I'm quite the catch. Anyway, I made the journey to CageFree Rescue, but not before stopping at the vet to get neutered. Bummer, I know, but it's a small price to pay for freedom. I'm currently in isolation due to the surgery and a small upper respiratory infection I picked up from the shelter. Those dogs don't wash their paws much! I've been told that once I'm healed up I'll be allowed to go on the playground with the rest of my canine friends. I can't wait! In the meantime, my human companions are working hard to find me a forever home. I'm looking for a family that is active since I'm a youngster. Playing in the yard, going for hikes, or meeting up with my friends at the dog park sounds like an amazing afternoon. Do you think you'd like to do that, too? If so, contact CageFree now! Tell them you want to schedule an appointment to meet me. I'm looking forward to meeting you!
