Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Amy, and I received a message about 2 small dogs who were abandoned in a trailer park located in a very rural area in TN. This message came to me around 11:00 p.m., and we were expecting a snowstorm to hit by 5:00 a.m. the next morning (which brought us 8 inches). Along with 2 of my friends, we headed to look for the dogs, all the while hoping it wasn't too late (as we were also told one of them had not moved in a while and may already be gone).
After an hour drive, we arrived at the trailer park. We first found the little dog that was feared dead. She was still alive, but had given up, and was not moving. Then, a few minutes later, we spied June Carter. She walked right up to us, tail wagging, as if to say, "please, just get us out of this place."
Once we got home, I realized that June was very pregnant. It was so dark outside, and we were moving quickly, trying to beat the storm. It was then I realized both these doggies were so so thin, skeletal almost, and eaten up with fleas and ticks. I also realized that poor June Carter would have given birth at that trailer park, if she had made it another week. We literally loaded them in the back of my car as the first snowflakes fell.
This dog is beyond precious. She is sweet, friendly, and very loving. She adores attention, and is very content just being next to me. She loves physical affection; a good scratch around her neck just makes her melt! All doggies are special, but I can honestly say, she is extra-special...an absolute doll.
She is living with 5 other doggies right now, all small breeds, and gets along very well with them. I have not seen her around children or cats, so I can't say how she is around them. She is potty and crated trained, and has no bad habits at all!
She will be spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, de-wormed, heart worm negative, and treated for fleas/ticks at the time of adoption. Her adoption fee is $250.
If you would like to know more about this sweet girl, please email us for an adoption application... thank you for your interest in a rescue dog!!
