My name is Allie. I'm about 5 months old, and my foster mom calls me a Schnozzton Terrier, which is her way of saying she thinks I'm a Boston Terrier Schnauzer mix. I am spayed, microchipped, and I've had all my shots. I was originally from Franklin County Dog Shelter, but they were super duper full so the rescue that foster mom volunteers for pulled me to get me a home of my very own! I was very scared there. It was loud and nobody picked me - until Hospets came and rescued me!
A little about me. I'm 13# right now. Since I'm 5 months old, I'm not going to get a whole lot bigger. Maybe under 20#, definitely under 25#. So a petite gal. I am pretty high energy. I love bouncing, running, chasing, fetching, wrestling, and I need to get my daily fill of these things in a constructive way or I might behave in a manner unfitting for a little lady. My foster parents have started me with clicker training (I can sit very well!) and we're going to start learning agility equipment as soon as it stays warm enough outside that foster mommy doesn't run back into the house to "get warm." I really want an active home, whether it's to do agility, competitive obedience, or some other dog sport, someone who hikes a lot, jogs a lot, or people who will DO stuff with me a lot! I'm not a couch potato! I'm part of the family and I want to be involved in all things!
I like kids but I am a puppy so I will need to be watched and taught how to behave appropriately. I love all dogs big and small and I love to chase, be chased, and wrestle HARD with them. I love people too, I love to kiss them all over their face! I want to jump on them too but the foster parents tell me that's bad. :(
I might sound like a tomboy but I like being a princess too. I like being carried around and told I'm a good girl, I will lay on your shoulders for a nap or curl up in your lap. Sometimes I think I want a sweater because my wirey fur is a little thin and some days it is super cold out!I am working on my potty training and I'm almost there. I go to the back door and hit it with my paw or, if you're not paying attention, I'll cry to go out. If you weren't listening, that's your fault and if a puppy's gotta go, a puppy's gonna go.
I like to chew and if you don't give me something appropriate to chew on and keep an eye on me, I'll find something on my own to chew on. I am a typical puppy, I need watched and I need appropriate toys! I love rope toys, and I like to tug!Foster Mom said to list all my awesomeness - lots of energy, very friendly, very smart, eager to learn and please, not afraid of new things, submissive to other dogs, short coat (sheds a little), I'm very good for my weekly nail dremeling, clicker trained, almost done potty training, cuddly, i don't bark excessively, i love to lay out in the sun.... yep, foster mom is pretty enamored!
