Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Sophia a very confident and beautiful 14 week old blue merle sheltie puppy. She has an alpha personality and will be best placed as the only female in her new forever home. A toy box filled with challenging toys to keep her busy is a must. As well as walks and playtime with her human family. She is crate trained and doing very well on housebreaking.
Sophia can be very vocal and has no problem telling you what she wants when she wants it! She is extremely smart and learns quickly. Sophia is a busy puppy and will need a family that can give her the attention and training she needs to grow and become a well-adjusted adult. We suggest enrolling Sophia into a puppy obedience class as the best time to start any training is while they are still developing. Just like children, a puppy's brain is like a sponge and they pick up what they can and cannot do. If you let a puppy get away with different things like jumping, pulling on the lead, biting, and eliminating in the house, they can begin to think this is acceptable behavior.
Before you fill out an application for Sophia please understand you will be required to have a secure fenced in yard, no children in the home under the age of 10, and if you are gone for extended periods of time a puppy will not be a good match for your home. Please consider the chewing, the potty accidents, the crying in the crate, the constant attention and training a puppy needs when making an adoption decision. Adoption fee will be $325.00 and a mandatory spay/neuter contract will be signed with a $100 deposit fee also charged. The deposit fee will be returned upon verification of spay or neuter. Applications will only be considered from within the state Colorado. If you would like to apply to adopt little Sophia, please visit our website at www.mhcsr.org and fill out an application.
