My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

1/22/2008
Hi all. Yep, I'm Mandy. Right off the bat...yes, I am 6 years old but I still have some spunk. I'm not much of a runner though, I'm more of a jogger. I love to engage people into playing with me, with my toys. I love to play for about an hour or so and then sleep for 2-3. I sometimes put my head on your lap when I sleep. I like that. I am small in stature, roughly 19-20" to my shoulder and 55.5lbs.When I'm bored, I'll talk to you as best I can. If you don't listen to me, I bark. My foster family ignores me when I start that nonsense. I am beginning to understand that the more I bark the more I'm ignored, so now I just go lay down after a few barks. I have been in foster care now since 12/23/07. Right now I live with a smaller dog, American Eskimo mix, half my size. I don't play rough with him at all cause let's face it, he's 10 years old. I came into rescue with this nasty, nasty itch. I've been to the vet and now that my meds are done, we're going to see how I do. The Doc says if I am not scratching, then my rash was due to a mite that is now gone. If I continue to scratch, then I have an allergy. Time will tell shortly. My diet consists of Blue Buffalo natural fish and sweet potato just incase lt's a food allergy. My food can be purchased at PetSMart where I love to visit. My coat has cleared up nicely and according to my follow up vet visit, the Doc said I am looking great. I would be a great addition to a home with kids probably over 7. I say 7 years old because my tail was never docked and when I get real excited it wags very fast. I just can't help myself. Now for the basics... I sit on command (most of the time), I can give you my paw, I'm housebroken, crate trained (not an ounce of separation anxiety); I am left to run the house at night and just recently during the day when no one is home. When no one is home is when I do my deep sleeping. I think I'm a lot of fun and a good gal. If you have any questions or think you may have the home for me, bark at Nancy at the e mail below and let's check each other out. Thanks, for listening, Mandy P.S. Better pictures are on the way.
