My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Casey is an 8 yr. old Aussie mix who came into rescue as an owner surrender. He is medium energy and a very polite gentleman even when he wants attention. Like a typical Aussie, he always wants to be near you and know what is going on.

Casey would do best with a young non dominant female companion as he has spent most of his life as an only dog. Older dominant dogs bring out Casey’s insecure side but with continued socialization he will continue to build on this skill. Casey is being fostered with a 2 yr. old female Aussie and they have become best of friends.

Casey has a bit of a prey drive on occasion so a physical fenced in yard is a must. Casey came from a home with several young children, so having children in the home shouldn’t be a problem for him.

Casey knows many commands and is great on the leash! He has been caught sniffing up on kitchen counters and in the garbage can, but a simple verbal correction is all he needs. Casey loves going in his crate and is happy napping all day and playing from time to time. His favorite pastime is definitely getting belly rubs! He is a big ham and incredibly sweet.
