Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Buster came in as a stray. He is about 1 year old. He is a very social and friendly guy, but is initially timid. He is very playful, and likes toys and other dogs too.
Buster recently completed our prison dog training program where he received one-on-one training by an inmate that has been taught positive reinforcement dog training. Buster learned Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Heel, Polite Greetings, Housetraining, and some tricks. Anyone interested in adopting Buster should fill out an adoption application. Adopters will receive an Adopter Guide outlining the training the dog has received and how to continue working with the dog. Here is your chance to adopt a well-trained dog from a shelter!
All dogs that haven't been previously fixed will be spayed or neutered before going home. Dogs receive rabies, initial DHLPP & bordetella vaccinations, are tested for heartworm, and wormed. They have been temperament tested and also microchipped. Adoption fee is $100, plus adopters must purchase a Lucas County dog license for $25. We add new adoptable dogs on a regular basis, so stop by during regular hours and see who's there. Also be sure to like our facebook page! Lucas County Canine Care & Control. Thanks for considering a shelter dog!
