Love a dog who smiles?? Meet Gorgeous Zelda!

Zelda is a beautiful 1 year old German Shepherd who was found wandering in Castro Valley when coincidentally one of of volunteers drove by. Naturally, Zelda, being the friendly sweetheart she is, politely asked to get in the car and it's been uphill from there. With no previous home in sight, Zelda is now past the holding period and looking for her new forever home. Zelda is a sweetheart to the core. She's an affectionate girl who is always ready to be pet, roll over for a belly rub or cuddle on the couch.

We think Zelda would do best as an only dog with an active family and she has great energy and really bonds with her people. She loves to go hiking, on long walks, off-leash dog romps, you name it! In addition, we are looking for a family who is familiar with training as she does best with consistency and still exhibits many puppy behaviors. Because she is young, smart and curious, she would greatly benefit from a training course-she would be the star of the obedience class! Zelda currently has a solid sit and her recall is improving!

Due to the expensive nature of animal rescue work, there is an adoption fee to help cover medical costs. She has been spayed, de-wormed, is up-to-date on all shots, been checked by a vet and is a healthy pup!
