Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please Help!! Anabella and Lily are two wonderful dogs that need another chance at a new forever home...here is their story! (Sorry this is so long)
Our family raised these two beautiful dogs from the time they were puppies when we had adopted them from the Human Society in Tucson, AZ in 2007 and they are now 7 and 6 1/2 years old. They have been nothing short of loving and loyal. We've since had two little boys and it was a wonderful fit until our youngest son proved to be allergic to them. We tried to make it work but his health has taken a toll having them around.
We started looking to find them a good loving family that would take them into their lives as we had to love and care for them. After meeting with them on several occasions and the instant connection they had with the dogs it seemed like the perfect fit. They took the dogs home around this past Halloween. After a month due to unforeseen issues they had to find them a new home. We were in touch from time to time to give them additional paperwork and items of the dogs but everything was going great and we hadn't heard from them in several months.
Several months had passed and we received a phone call from 24hr Pet Watch on Thursday, January 16th that Anabella had been found and taken to the Franklin Animal Shelter. We were surprised to hear from them since we had given all paperwork and records to the new family to change the information so they would be the new point of contact, which apparently was never completed. We immediately tried to contact the owners and found out they had given the dogs to someone else! The owners they had given them to said they were on vacation and someone else was taking care of the dogs when they got out. Lily was still missing.
We've gone back and forth trying to the get the full story and have been left hurt, worried and so confused why they weren't honest with us. My husband was going to go pick up Bella since he didn't know what else to do and just before he was heading to the shelter someone had also found Lily wondering and scared on the side of a busy road and took her to the same shelter. Thank goodness they were both found but they were so scared and confused over the many transitions they've endured over the past 3-4 months. When my husband went to pick them up neither one had their collars so we believe they were abandoned and let loose. They both had some sore, rough spots on their pads from being lost and left out in nature. Otherwise, both dogs seem to be in good health.
They are currently safe back in our home but unfortunately there is no way we can keep them with our young son's allergies and health. In just the short amount of time they were gone we saw improvements in his skin and breathing. We've now had them back in our home a little over a week and his symptoms are returning.
They both need a new loving family to bring joy and security back to their lives. They are very adoptable and would quickly warm up with the right loving people. They are scared and confused but their tail wags are beginning to return since they've been back in our home. With a little extra kindness, patience and compassion their true and happy personalities will quickly return.
Please, please help us find them a new forever home with a caring new family (or families if not able to keep them together).
