My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dixie is about 1 year old and came to us as a stray. She is a timid girl, but loves to snuggle for comfort. She likes playing with toys, bones, and other dogs. She is looking for a calm home that can help her gain confidence.


All dogs that haven't been previously fixed will be spayed or neutered before going home. Dogs receive rabies, initial DHLPP & bordetella vaccinations, are tested for heartworm, and wormed. They have been temperament tested and also microchipped. Adoption fee is $100, plus adopters must purchase a Lucas County dog license for $25. We add new adoptable dogs on a regular basis, so stop by during regular hours and see who's there. Also be sure to like our facebook page! Lucas County Canine Care & Control.
