Update Jan 28th: While her foster home loves her, Ruby has proven she is not meant to live in a condo. She can be barky when left alone, and the neighboring units were complaining. She was initially quiet when left alone, and only started barking after her fosters were home more often over the Christmas break. We are hoping with some training and teaching Ruby to be more independent this will improve, but we have moved her into temporary foster care to prevent further noise complaints from the condo corp. She has done well with dogs (frequent visitor of the dog park) and has been great with all people.
Millie is a sweetheart of a dog who was picked up as a stray this summer. She came to a shelter with a litter of 3 week old puppies. Neither her nor her pups were claimed and after mommy duty was done and she was up for adoption she sat without interest. This boggled the shelter staff, as she is spectacular with all people, good with all dogs, young, happy and without the typical lab nuttiness. She was allowed to spend time loose in the shelter office as she would happily sleep at the feet of the receptionist. We've agreed to take her into rescue, and anticipate her arrival mid December.
