Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Here's what Murphy's foster mom has to say about this FABULOUS pup:
Murphy is a happy go lucky gal. Her tail is always wagging and when it does, her butt wiggles too! She's a curious dog, wanting to know what the neighbors are up to, and spends time peering out the window. Murphy also loves snuggling up on the couch and taking a nap on a cold day. She appreciates time with her people and also likes chewing on a good bone.
Here's Murphy's story:
Murphy is a 1 or 2 year old, 40 pound terrier/boxer mix. In a former life- Murphy was undoubtedly a court jester, and still has a knack for making folks laugh and smile at her silly hijinks and monkeyshines.
Six months spent at the Companion Animal Alliance shelter have given Murphy appreciation for the simple things in life- having sunshine on her belly as she wiggles and waggles to scratch her back in the grass, running in the yard like a mustang who chewed through its tethers, or snuggling on a soft warm bed on the kitchen floor while working over a rawhide chew.
Her dark eyes are deep, intelligent and expressive, and she curiously tilts her head and repositions her ears when spoken to- giving close attention to every word, as she wants to please. Some dogs grow aloof after long spells in a shelter setting, but not Murphy. She still enjoys and trusts people-young and old, and greets everyone she meets with unabashed enthusiasm.
At day's end, Murphy crates easily and willingly, and settles in quietly for the night. Morning will find her clean and dry and oh so happy to start a new and wonderful day.
