My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mr. King is about 5 years old, now. We saved him from a shelter where he had no hope for adoption. King, due to his fear of change, was labeled as aggressive/dangerous.

His foster family, for the past 2 years, has consisted of 3 children, and 2 larger dogs. His only issue, has been with men. While he'd growl or snap, he's not an aggressive pup, just protective. However, even that tendency had dissipated thanks to the time, patience and love he found with his wonderful foster family, especially his foster-kids!

Once King gets used to you, in about 5 minutes, he will be your best friend forever! He is very sensitive and should he think he can get away with being naughty, like most dachshunds do, a quick squirt of a water bottle and he'll never do it again... and you will feel guilty for days, as he stays away from you, until he forgives you.

He's a snuggler by choice, but does well, if kenneled. He LOVES car rides & kids.
