Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Starbuck came to us in February 2013, with his mom, Hannah, unable to use his hind legs, due to an unknown injury. They were rescued by AC from a very bad situation. He is now 4 years old, and has re-learned to walk. He still wobbles a bit, but there is no stopping a Dachshund on a mission!
Starbuck should not be allowed to use stairs, even if he can, as he will always be a high risk for a re-injury, which, unless you have the means to get him to surgery within 24 hours, means he is special. He requires a special family that understands his needs, and can provide for his future!
Starbuck does not like getting his nails done, and it would be best to have your vet do them. We do not recommend local pet stores or groomers, as they are not qualified to address the potential injury, that could/will result from his struggles.
We recommend a fenced yard and ramp (if you have stairs) to ensure for Starbucks exploration needs, and safety. He is 100% house trained, but cannot hold it for long periods of time. Please inquire for more information on Mr. Starbuck.
We believe he would be a wonderful addition to any Dachshund Family. He is very loving and super eager to please.
