Here's what the humans have to say about me:
THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING. ADR is not responsible for the health, temperament, behavior or placement of this dog. Listings are done at the request of the dog's owner and as an outreach and community service in hopes of finding these dogs a loving, stable forever home. Placement decisions are made solely at the discretion of the owner and not Austin Dog Rescue. Owners are required to ask for an adoption fee from adopters.
This is the information we received from Otis' current owner:
Happy high-energy puppy looking for a home! Looking for space to roam and an owner to love and train him. Otis grew up in a house of college senior boys with another dog his age and me as his trainer and owner. He is housetrained and knows basic commands. He is smart and picked up quickly on the different commands I taught him. Fetch is his favorite and he will chase a tennis ball until your arm gets tired.
Unfortunately, as a recent college graduate, work has brought a move across the country and I have been unable to keep him in a steady environment and a home he's familiar with. I moved 5 months ago and since then Otis has lived with a collection of friends and family members. Moving around has been hard on him and he has had a few skirmishes with other dogs, because of both dogs trying to be the dominant dog of the household. Otis is a loving companion and faithful dog. Finding him a new home is an absolute last resort for me as I love him very much. With his best interest in mind though, I need to find a new family with whom he can thrive in a one-pet household.
Otis needs some time spent in training and space to release his puppy energy and to be the sweet hound dog he naturally is!
