Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ezekiel (Zeke) was rescued from the streets of Detroit where he was found frightened and emaciated. It took several days for his rescuer to gain his trust enough to bring him to safety. That is not surprising given the torture Ezekiel must have endured at the hands of humans. All his teeth had been ground down to the gums to render him a defenseless bait dog to be used in training dogs for illegal dog fighting.
Ezekiel was taken to the vet where it was also discovered he had heartworm. The meaning of the name âEzekielâ is âGod will strengthenâ. Ezekiel has been given the strength to survive abuse, life on the streets, and heartworm. Even after all he has endured, he is a friendly, sweet, happy boy. He is learning how to socially interact with other dogs and does well with medium energy, non-dominant dogs. Zeke has a lot of love to give and is just waiting for a family of his own to love.
