Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Woof! I'm BRICE, and I'm the mellowest, sweetest young Chocolate/Yellow Lab mix you are likely to meet. I was chained up, then dumped at a shelter and my days were numbered, but I've been given a second chance -- a New Leash on Life! -- and am looking for a forever family to love. Maybe yours? I'm 8 months old, and a real affectionate, people-pleasin' fellow. I really like other dogs (and cats too), but it's YOU who will own my heart!
I'm excited to enter the New Leash on Life doggie training program at the Pamlico Correctional Institution in Bayboro, N.C. I will be trained for eight weeks, and when I graduate on March 15 I will know basic and advanced obedience commands, have agility and rally training, and even know a few tricks! I am a smart and eager boy, so won't you be my new people?
I'm already house and crate trained, walk well on and off a leash, and I'm neutered. I'll have all my shots, too, and will be on flea/tick and heart-worm preventive medications. I am already one healthy boy, and when I graduate I'll be ready to go home with my new fur-ever family!
I knock myself out for kibble treats--just show me the goodies!--and I truly aim to please. I'm handsome and helpful too, carrying around cardboard boxes (hey, I know they're not really ducks...) for a little Labrador fun.
If I sound like your kinda dog, or if you have any questions about meeting me or adoption process, just call Jackie Schmidt, PAWS president, at 252-649-5504, and she will tell you what a great dog I already am. An Adoption Application is on the PAWS website at www.pamlicopaws.com. Please call Jackie soon -- I'll be waiting!
