My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Darla. I am a 10 year old Pit Bull mix. I was brought into the shelter after my human mommy passed away and there was no one left to care for me. I was very confused when I first got here but now I understand that everyone here loves me and will take good care of me.

I am a very laid back girl and am looking for a laid back family to give me a new home. I walk well on a leash and would be perfectly happy spending most of my time lounging around with my new mom or dad.

I love people, big and small and get so excited when I have visitors. Sometimes I get so excited I wag my tail so much that it bangs into my kennel and bleeds a little. But I just love people so much that I can't help it!!

Alot of people that come here to the animal shelter say they could never adopt me because I am a Pit Bull, and Pit Bulls are bad. I don't know where they get that idea from! I think that I am a very well behaved, loving, loyal girl! I don't have a bad bone in my body!!

I just keep hoping that someone will come along that can see past my age and breed and realize what a great companion I will make for them. Could you be just the person I've been wishing for??
